KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Although it may not qualify as an Ivy League school, Punch! Software has opened the gates to “Punch! University” – a new website that will help customers achieve greater mastery of the company’s home and landscape design software. Launched on August 21, Punch! University features 14 easy-to-use video courses that focus on the techniques and tasks needed to design a house from start to finish.
“All of our software includes tutorials that teach customers the basics of using the product tools and other features,” says Punch! Software CEO Paul Bay. “At the university, however, we put more emphasis on step-by-step functions, teaching customers the kinds of techniques applied by professional architects and landscape designers. This is where you can earn your unofficial ‘Masters Degree.’”
Punch! University’s initial course catalog features 6.5 hours of fundamentals training, with classes ranging from “A Punch! Primer” and “Basic Tools” to more specialized courses such as “Decorating with Colors and Materials” and “Cabinet Layouts.” In the months ahead, the university will add more advanced courses while retaining its beginner-level classes.
For a limited time, Punch! is offering customers discounted enrollment of just $47, which gives students access to the website for one year. (Normally, one year’s “tuition” is priced at $97.)
All courses are created using Punch! Architectural Series 3000, version 10.0. Customers with earlier versions of Punch! Software products, therefore, may notice that their interfaces do not look exactly like the ones in the training videos.
