Glass Panes

Glass panes have been added to windows, doors, and skylights, and can be turned on or off for each individual element. By default, glass panes are ignored when applying materials or colors, but you can change the material or color by holding down the Ctrl key while dragging onto the glass. Additionally, the translucency of the glass can be adjusted in the Design Options under 3D Preferences in the General dialog. 

SketchUp Import

The latest update to Punch!^® Landscape Deck & Patio includes the addition of SketchUp Import. This feature allows users to import SketchUp models into their landscape and deck designs, enhancing flexibility and creativity. With SketchUp Import, you can integrate custom 3D models, adding unique furniture pieces, intricate architectural elements, and custom-built structures to your projects.

Fine-Tune Floor Views: Floor 2D/3D Visibility Control

With our Floor 2D/3D Visibility Control, users have the power to selectively display or hide specific floors in both 2D and 3D views. This flexibility allows for rapid customization of 3D renders, ensuring that you can focus on precisely the design elements you want to showcase.

New Editing Options & Creation Tools

Duplicate as CAD

Easily duplicate shapes of existing smart objects, converting them to another type without the need to tediously trace over the shape with another tool. For instance, you can quickly create border edging along a pathway without drawing it manually using the edging tool.

Combo CAD Tool

CAD detail tools are now available on all plan sheets. You can add notes, callouts, and details to any of the plan sheets. Previously, this feature was only accessible on the Details plan

Precision Input Resize Option

The resize window allows users to enter specific resize measurements in a chosen unit or percentage. You can apply this to specific segments or any combination of selected elements.

Shrink/Expand

This feature enables quick adjustments to the size of selected elements by a specific distance. Use keyboard shortcuts or editing toolbar buttons to change the width, height, and depth of any object effortlessly.

Quick Elevation Change Buttons

Elevation control buttons have been added to the elevation bar controls. Instead of manually entering elevation values, users can now make adjustments visually using the buttons or shortcut keys.

Quick Edit Keyboard Shortcuts

An array of keyboard shortcuts has been introduced to modify selected elements. Instantly edit an element’s elevation, shrink or expand it, adjust width, depth, height, or rotation. Changes appear in both 2D and 3D views, saving users the hassle of manual data entry.

Additionally, the backspace key allows you to step back from misplaced point locations while drawing elements.

Fillet/Chamfer dialog

The Fillet/Chamfer dialog now lets you enter precise distances for filleting or chamfering corners of selected elements.

A shortcuts PDF cheat sheet displays all available application shortcuts.

Guide images have been added to dialogs related to rotation, movement, moving the entire plan, and plan rotation.

Default Design Settings Templates

Users can tailor their design options, including font choices, lighting preferences, lot sizes, and more. Once customized, these settings can be saved as a template. Whenever users create new design files, their chosen template will automatically be applied, ensuring a personalized, consistent and efficient design experience.

Additional Changes

Modify Fonts to match current Design Defaults

When dragging in templates, you now have the option to change the font to match your current Design Defaults. This includes options to match the font family name, size, and attributes such as bold and italic.

Individual Auto-Dimensions

You now have the option to show or hide auto dimensioning on individual objects such as floors and decks.
